Who we are!

The Roof of Africa Adventures (TROAA) is a family owned business that specializes in Tanzanian adventures, including climbs on Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru, as well as safari tours. Our personal investment in your satisfaction will be evident throughout the planning, preparation and completion of your journey with us! We have the passion, knowledge and experience to guide you through all of these phases and most importantly, to the summit of whichever goal you choose during your time in Tanzania.

All climbs and safaris are organized and guided by Protus Mayunga, founder of TROAA and father of three. Growing up on the shores of beautiful Lake Victoria, western Tanzania, Protus was steeped early in the wonder of his country's natural heritage. His tribal tradition is Sikuma, the largest tribal group in Tanzania, with a little Masai thrown in as his 103 year old grandmother tells it. Read More
